The Gal Gala is women's and feminist's club. It was created with the vision for an equitable and inclusive community for Indian women & other marginalised people, to value, support & empower them. We aim:

To promote awareness & dialogue on issues on gender inequality & intersectional feminism.

To provide a safe, inclusive space for individuals to share, learn, & grow together.

To empower members through education, advocacy, solidarity and collective action, towards personal growth & development.

To empower marginalised voices to have a community to trust, speak up and help overcome their hurdles.
The Founder
Joono (they/she) is an academic in Women and Gender Studies, with a background in journalism. She is the founder of The Gal Gala, providing a safe space and community for women and other minorities, providing and a platform for important discussions on feminism & social justice. The serve as the editor of The Galsight, the club's magazine, and the newsletters posted regularly on TGG's LinkedIn page. They write feminist essays here. With a deep commitment to activism, they have also volunteered their time and expertise with NGOs focused on women’s rights and social causes.
